Members of GBBN’s healthcare team joined officials and staff from Bon Secours in Chester, VA to break ground on a new, freestanding Emergency Department (ED).

In addition to providing emergency medical services, the new facility will offer imaging services (CT, MRI, ultrasound, and radiology) as well as occupational health services.

“Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) is a valued, long-term client,” says Associate Principal, Mickey LeRoy, “the Chester ED draws on departmental planning templates that GBBN developed in partnership with BSMH to standardize care, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance patient and staff wellness.”

“This project also fills a gap in emergency services in the area,” adds GBBN Associate Principal, Amy Mees, “making services available to a community that is currently underserved.”

Fully designed via Zoom meetings, GBBN’s team was happy to finally see the Bon Secours leadership and site in person at the groundbreaking. The facility is expected to be completed in 2022.
