As the Cincinnati Museum Center prepares for its grand re-opening on November 17, communities around the country are turning to CMC for advice on their own historic preservation projects.

GBBN has partnered with CMC on national presentations that have helped drive awareness about the historic renovation of Union Terminal.

In March, Steve Kenat, GBBN’s Director of Community Development, presented with Museum Center CEO Elizabeth Pierce at the MidAtlantic Associations of Museums conference in Philadelphia, PA. In June, GBBN’s Nicholas Cates presented with Museum Center CFO Jill Berkemeier at the Annual Historic Tax Credit Summit in Washington DC.

“We have been the recipient of phone calls from media around the country saying, how can this happen in Detroit or in Milwaukee or Toledo or other places?” says Pierce. “So, there’s just an awareness of the unique nature of this project and how successful it has been throughout and what it is going to give back to the community long-term,” she says.
