TriHealth Good Samaritan Western Ridge Tops Out

TriHealth recently celebrated the placement of the final steel beam atop the new addition to their Good Samaritan Western Ridge Medical Center. The topping-out ceremony achieves a major milestone, as construction will now turn to pouring the concrete slabs, installing the precast exterior wall panels, and closing in the building shell.

When complete, the Western Ridge addition will triple the size of the facility, enabling TriHealth to expand the range of primary and specialty care services offered there, including new cardiovascular and cancer centers.

“TriHealth really views this project as an opportunity to create a healthcare destination in Green Township,” says Ted Huster, a member of GBBN’s project team. “Given the size of the project, its visibility from I-74, this was an excellent chance to increase TriHealth’s presence in the community, while providing convenient access to complimentary services all within one location.”

The building does this with an eye-catching, multi-faceted façade that floats above the ground level base, and integrates with the existing building, accentuating the entry elements for clear, intuitive wayfinding.

The clinical layout provides for a private yet connected team space that fosters communication amongst providers and staff while allowing for a unique transition for patients and families from waiting to the exam room.
