Caring for Medical Providers: Tackling Burnout | GBBN’s 2024 Healthcare Symposium

Registration opens soon.

On October 17, 2024 from 1:30-3:45pm EST, GBBN’s annual Healthcare Symposium returns to focus on a topic that impacts every health system, every provider—and potentially—every patient: burnout.

According to the CDC (2022), nearly half (46%) of health workers experienced burnout, a 14% increase since 2018. Additionally, 44% of healthcare workers intended to look for a new job in 2022, marking an 11% increase since 2018.

Hospital staff burnout is caused by various factors such as increased workloads, lack of control, scheduling, stressful work environments, and limited collaboration among healthcare professionals. These challenges lead to stress, emotional exhaustion, and reduced job satisfaction, contributing to burnout among physicians, nurses, and other health workers.

Join us for two virtual panel discussions as we dig into the systemic, environmental, and human factors that contribute to burnout in medical providers and pathways to better support their mental health.
